Friday 6th September

Hello and welcome to 6W's weekly blog! smiley

We would like to start by saying how impressed we are with your children this week. They have returned to school with a real positive attitude to their learning and have been striving to achieve well. It has been lovely to get to know them and we are excited about all the fun and learning that will go on over the year!yes

We have started by hitting the ground running this week - here's what we have been up to...

In English we have read, discussed and carried out a range of reading and writing activities on the novel which was sent home over summer - The Giant's Necklace. The children have thoroughly enjoyed this book and were a little bit surprised with the plot twist at the end!surprise

We have been working on place value in maths with numbers up to 10 million!! We have also carried out maths investigations and games which went down a treat!

We began our science topic on light and also out history topic on WW2, both of which the children really enjoyed. So much done in only 4 days!

We hope you have a good weekend and we will see you on Monday.

Love from Mrs Parry & Mrs Melling xx

*** School will re-open to all pupils from Monday 8th March. Please see your Weduc account for further information. ***
