Friday 8th March 2019

This week's stars of the week was Lilly-Rose for her super reading.  She blew our socks off a phonics club on Wednesday night.   Well done to all of the children and parents who attended.

In Maths this week, we have been learning how to take using a number line and by counting backwards.

In English, we have been retelling the story 'Jack and the Beanstalk.'  We have been thinking of adjectives to describe the giant, the beanstalk and Jack and including them in our stories.

In Science, we have planted our very own beanstalk.  We put the soil in the cup.  Made a hole with our finger and dropped the seed in the hole.  We put more soil over the seed.  We have a watering rota and we look after our seeds each day.

In topic, we have been thinking about where our food comes from.  We have looked at eggs, milk, cheese, ham, leeks, carrots and potatoes and decided whether they come from an animal or a plant.

We had a fabulous World Book Day yesterday. The children looked super in their costumes.

Have a lovely weekend.
