Friday 8th March

In maths we have been learning how to subtract using counters, pictures and then moving onto a number line. The children are becoming more confident when completing these calculations.

In English we have been continuing with the story Jack and the Beanstalk. The children have learnt the story really and can recall the model text using picture prompts and actions. This learning process has helped the children to retell the story in their writing.

We have started a new topic called 'Farmer, Farmer'- this topic is all about where does our food come from and the children are going to learn over the next few weeks about food.

In Science we are learning about plants - so the children have all planted a bean and we are going to observe how the bean will grow and change.

On Thursday we had a book-tastic day for World book day! The children looked fabulous in their costumes. Here are some photographs!
