In English this week we have continued to read the text 'The snail and the whale.'
We have been writing a description of the whale using adjectives. We described him using the vocabulary big, huge, large, wet, smooth, black, pointy, curved and long. We practiced using a simile and an and sentence.
In maths we have continued to think about number bonds to 10 and tried hard to say the numbers quickly in pairs. We have been adding 2 groups together and adding more to a given group.
On Wednesday we went to the cinema to a free film event. We walked there and the children were super! We watched the Big bad fox and other tales. There were 3 short animation films which the children really enjoyed. Well done Year 1 for showing great behaviour on the trip.
