Friday 8th November

Welcome back to our blog this week. We hope that you've all had a great week and enjoyed any firework displays you may have been to.

We started our new novel in English on Monday - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, written by CS Lewis and have done some research on him as he is our author of the month. We found out lots of interesting information about him and have written a biography on his life and achievements.smiley

In maths we have been looking at factors and multiples. These can be tricky and sometimes the children can forget which is which but we got there in the end!yes

We were learning all about Sydney in Australia in geography and wrote an information/persuasive guide all about it. The children found out that although Sydney isn't the capital city of Australia (Canberra is) it is actually the largest city in Australia. Ask your children what makes a city a capital city!

So with all that going on, as well as building a range of circuits in science, I'm sure your children are all ready for the weekend!

Have a good one and see you on Monday.

Love from Mrs Parry & Mrs Melling xx
