Friday 9th December

Wow! Doesn't time fly! Another week has flown by and what a week it's been!

Well done to our pupil of the week, who deservedly won the trophy. The certificate was awarded for the recipients effort in reading every night, this has evidently improved their writing!

Well done to our superstar readers! Keep up the hard work!

Maths

In maths we have been showing off what we know by completing assessments in addition and subtraction, as well as multiplication and division! After all of this hard work we were rewarded on Wednesday as we were able to play multiplication and division games. On Thursday we practiced our 4 times tables, followed by the 8's on Friday!

English

We started to look at the Snowman. On Monday we read the story and matched images to their captions. Following that we watched the Snowman Film.On Wednesday, we described the setting. Mr Fletcher was blown away by these descriptions, some even included fronted adverbials! On Thursday, we wrote a character description for the Snowman and these were just as good! We became The Snowman on Friday and wrote a diary entry from his point of view.

Topic

We turned our cave art designs into cave paintings! Each group had their own 'wall' to tell their stories on. When brought together they told a story about our 'tribes' interests. Are there any symbols you recognise?

R.E

In R.E we finished our advent reefs, check the photos out to see how great they were.

Cinema

On Tuesday morning, year 3 and 4 walked down to the Empire Cinema at Robin Park, where we watched Trolls. The film had us all singing and dancing along! It was lots of fun. A huge Thank You to Mr Price for organising that for us.

All that is left to say is have a great weekend and we will see you all on Monday morning!
