Friday 9th November

Hello again!

This week was a bit different as we had our annual cinema trip to celebrate National Cinema Week. We watched Zoo, set in World War 2, which told the true story of how some young Belfast children helped to save the life of an elephant which was under the threat of being destroyed rather than escape if the zoo was bombed during the Blitz. It was both touching and exciting!

In English, we are several chapters into The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (our new class novel). We have started to research the life of author, C S Lewis, with the intention to use the findings to produce his biography.

In maths, fractions has started well. The week has largely concentrated on recognising how fractions have equivalents as well as how we can compare them.

Our new topic, Capitals, has started this week with us looking at how London provides the visitor with an array of memorable places to visit.

Have a great week!
