November

4th November

The time is flying by!

We have been thinking about Remembrance Day in pre-school.  We know that we wear poppies to say thank you to the soldiers and animals that keep us safe.

The red poppy is for the soldiers and the purple poppy is for the animals.

We held a one minute silence on the 11th November and 11 o'clock.

The children practised their scissor skills to cut the bunting for our display and then made poppies as part of our remembrance day activities.

11th November

We have been on a Bear Hunt around our classroom!

We explored the story in different area of provision

We also raised money for Children In Need by coming to school in our own clothes and decorating then selling biscuits

18th November

Colour monster

The children read the story Colour Monster with Mrs Rothwell at carpet time.  Mrs Baker also popped into our classroom to look at how well the children listened to the story.

They all sat beautifully and contributed to the carpet session.

We then had a chance in continuous provision to explore the story.

We particularly enjoyed learning about repeating pattern using the coloured counters this week!

25th November

In our PE sessions, we practised throwing and catching

We have also been practising our Nativity songs to get ready for the show!  Here are the music tracks so that your children can practise at home with you.
