October

7th October

We have begun learning all about colours and colour names in pre-school.

We read the story Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?

You can watch the story here:

We took part in different activities and also thought about all of the noises the animals make from the story.

In continuous provision we are continuing to work on lots of social skills and physical skills

We have also welcomed more children into the number 4 club!

Happy Birthday smiley

14th October

We have been learning different Nursery rhymes.

We sequenced the rhyme 'Incy Wincy Spider'.  This took lots of thinking about what happens first, next and last.

We also had fun watching Mrs Littler acting out the rhyme and then we had a turn in continuous provision!

We had lots of opportunities to learn about Nursery rhymes through the continuous provision this week.

Can you name the rhymes we were learning about in the playdough area?

AN please do not forget to return your 'Autumn treasure' bags next week.  We will be using the autumn treasure to explore and learn about Autumn.

21st October

Our proud wall is also filling up now!  These are independent pieces of work that the children have completed in the provision or at home.

Thank you to all of the families that supported us at our Nursery Rhyme assembly.  It was lovely to share this opportunity with you.

We have also been exploring the Autumn treasures we collected with our families.

The children have learned new words like 'sycamore seed' ' acorn' 'conker' and 'pine cone'

ANd we have new entries into the number 4 club!  Happy Birthday!

We enjoyed carving pumpkins and watching them light up!

The children enjoyed discussing their 'Halloween' and talking about what they dressed as to go trick or treating
