Here is a an overview of such a busy term that we have had.
In English we have been working really hard on improving our writing skills. We have read The Gingerbread Man. The children retold the story after learning the model text. The children then enjoyed creating their own version of the Gingerbread man. Some children created a Cookie man, Kit kat kid, Jammie Dodger man or a Shortbread kid.
We then looked at the Jolly Postman. The children enjoyed guessing who each letter was for by looking for clues on the address label.
In Topic it is called- People who help us. We have learned about our local area and looked at maps.
We also learned about the artist Vincent Van Gogh. We studied his very famous painting Sunflowers. The children practised different skills such as using a sponge, using a wash and fine brush strokes.
