Thursday 22nd December
Welcome back to Year 5F’s blog. We can’t believe it’s going to be our final blog of 2016!
Once again, we have had another jam-packed week. The children have been completing Christmas booklets filled with maths problems, word searches, crosswords, spot the differences, colouring sheets and mazes! They have also made their Christmas cards which have the cutest reindeer design on them.
Of course, it was the Year 5 Christmas party on Tuesday. Everybody looked sensational! The children played party games, had a bit of a boogie, took part in a class quiz and enjoyed their party food.
On Wednesday, the children were invited to watch a pantomime called ‘Panto Pickle’ performed by the drama department from Shevington High School. The children’s performances were sensational and everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Here is our PUPIL OF THE WEEK. They won it for their sheer enjoyment of ‘Panto Pickle’ yesterday. It was a joy to watch, we are glad he loved it!
To the whole of the class’s amazement (as it is now the THIRD consecutive week someone from Year 5F was chosen) he went on to win the UPPER PHASE PUPIL OF THE WEEK and gets to take the trophy home with him for the whole of the Christmas holidays. A big well done from the Year 5 teachers and children.
All that remains to say is have a great Christmas – we hope the Father Christmas brings you lots of presents – and of course wishing you all the very best for the New Year.
REMINDER – School reopens on TUESDAY 10th JANUARY 2017.
