Thursday 26th May

It's half term!

What a hectic week to end the term on!

Maths

This week in maths we have been re-capping on time. We went right back to the basics and looked at o'clock, and half past, we then progressed to quarter past and quarter to. After that we learnt how to tell the time to the nearest five minutes, this got more difficult when we started to look at the time to the minute.

English

In English we have been looking at the correct use of apostrophes for possession. We found this tricky so we will be revisiting it soon.

Our trip! This week we visited Haigh Hall. The weather was not kind to us but it didn't dampen our spirits. In the morning we explored the vast grounds of Haigh Hall and in the afternoon it was our turn for the guided tour, we all learnt lots of interesting facts. We are the last school to visit the hall as it is being turned into a hotel this summer.

Music

Mr Grimshaw was impressed with our musical talent this week. He said we are almost ready for out music assembly which will be Monday 17th July at 2:30 pm. We hope you can make it.

This week we took part in a Race for Life. We ran and walked for 4 laps of the school field totaling a distance of 1km. Our class managed to race £42 for Cancer Research so thank you for all of your kind donations, they will go a long way to helping lots of poorly people.
