This week we have a new friend starting with us in Pre-school. The children have been so welcoming and showing our new friend all the toys, where to put his coat and playing alongside him with the paw patrol cars.

This week we have been focusing on our fine and gross motor skills. On the climbing frame we used alternate feet to climb up the ladder, demonstrating our abilities to take risks and challenge our physical skills. In class we enhanced our fine motor skills, strengthening our wrist and finger muscles. We used the scissors independently to cut around different shapes and used ark making equipment to make different marks on the paper.

In continuous provision, we enjoyed sharing and taking turns activities with posting pig, and in the sand and water tray we explored the potion bottles, filling and emptying them.

We built a den using different fabrics to hang up, added the log stools and a lovely selection of books. We made a little ‘campfire’ using sticks and made some ‘marshmallows’ to ‘toast on the fire’.
