Messy play - using our hands to feel different textures of the paint, mixing colours together and talking about the changes. Scented jelly baff - cold, lumpy, sticky, squelch, slimy, are just some of the words the children used to describe it.

Exciting news!! The next stage of the life cycle has happened. We no longer have 10 hungry caterpillars.......we have 10 cocoons/chrysalis.

The children have very carefully observed them and we have now put them in the butterfly house whilst we wait for them to hatch.

And on Friday when we came into Pre-school something exciting had started to happen.....the cocoons had started to hatch into beautiful butterflies 🦋🐛

What a fun filled physical week in Pre-school. The children have thoroughly enjoyed going to Wacky warehouse for a physical play session. The children were superstars when walking there and back and we can’t praise them enough, we are so proud of them all. All the children have now been once but will get the opportunity to go again.

Happy big 4 birthday 🥳

The children have been using their magic maths brains to match quantity and numerals correctly. They were set a challenge to beat the timer, finding a given number and then matching the numeral from their number line. They were all fantastic!

We have been talking about healthy and unhealthy foods and what ingredients make them unhealthy. We also talked about the importance of brushing our teeth.
We discussed different fruits which we enjoy to eat and made a healthy fruit stick to take home. We had pineapple, kiwi, strawberries, apples and oranges.
