We would like to give a warm welcome to our new member of staff Jade, Jade has worked within the childcare sector for over 14 years and is looking forward to furthering her career at The young persons centre.

This the week the children have been using the fine motor skills lots, by using the scissors to cut paper, using pippets to put paint on bread and using lots of different tools in the play dough.

We celebrated World book day on Thursday and was impressed with all the children’s oufit’s 👍👌

Our adult led activity this week was to promote, single words, understanding and concentration levels, you can do this at home with your child - Gather together a group of familiar objects e.g- car, cup, brush etc - ask child to name the objects clearly so that children who are unsure can repeat them after you,  Let the child explore objects - touching them, looking at them, smelling them etc - as they explore repeat the objects name.  Place all the objects down were child can see them and ask them in turn to find you a specific object - praise the children for their efforts.

Take a look at the fun we’ve had this week 😁👇
