wc 11th March

Welcome back to our class blog.

In English this week we have continued our work based on the video of The Clock Tower. We have been writing alternative versions of The Clock Tower and we thought of some brilliant ideas of how we could change the story.

In Maths we have been working on fractions. We have been learning about finding half, quarters and thirds of shapes, knowing that each piece has to be equal.

In Topic we have been learning about the Great Fire of London and the different buildings in 1666. We designed our own houses and tested different materials such as, glue, doubled sided tape and masking tape to find out which would work best. Using our designs we then got to make our own houses.

In Science we are learning about Plants. This week we have been finding out about the life cycle of a sunflower.

On Friday we celebrated Red Nose Day. The children took part by wearing something red to school. Thank you for all of your kind donations.

That’s all for this week,

Love from,

Mrs Hannon, Mrs Turton, Miss Grimshaw
