Welcome back!
This week the children have been getting re-acquainted with the classroom, exploring the new areas and the updated ones.
We have started to learn about the story 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle.
We noticed that the story has the days of the week in, just like the stars in our classroom.
The children wrote their names- one letter per circle and we looked at how many letters are in their own name. We then compared the length of the caterpillars to see who had the longest name and shortest name.
The longest names have 9 letters and the shortest names have 3 letters. Only one child in our class has 4 letters in their name. LOOK AT THE DISPLAY IN THE CLASSROOM FOR YOUR CHILD'S CATERPILLAR.
We have also welcomed Alfie into the numbner 4 club over the Easter break.
