The Scarecrows Wedding
On Monday the children read the story ‘The Scarecrows Wedding’. We went into the forest and made our very own scarecrow and bird feeders.
The children counted Betty’s rings from the story and placed them on the correct fingers. Counting with 1-1 correspondence up to 5.
We practiced our knowledge of Inital sounds by matching the letters with characters and objects from the story.
We completed lots of other activities that linked to the story...
* We threaded shells 🐚 to make Betty’s necklace.
* We practiced our scissors skills by making a scarecrow.
* We made Betty’s wedding dress by sewing on feathers.
