Week 5
The Stick Man
This week we having been reading one of our favourite stories. The Stick Man by Julia Donaldson.
On Monday the children went to the alps, and made their very own stick men. The children also used their bodies to create stick bodies.
Our Alps Adventure
In the challenge area the children were making number sentences by adding two groups of Stick Men together. The children practiced writing number sentences down.
In the maths area, the children were ordering the Stick men from shortest to the tallest and placing them under the correct number from 1 to 5.
In the funky fingers area we had to put leaves onto the family tree in under 3 minutes, this was a very tricky challenge.
We made the stick family in the creative area using Playdough.
