Happy Chinese New Year
This week in reception we have been celebrating Chinese New Year, this year is the year of the pig. The children having been joining in with traditional Chinese activities.
The children made traditional Chinese money envelopes for each other as presents. The children developed their cutting skills.
We ordered the animal ordinal numbers from 1 to 12 according to the position they came in from the Chinese New Year story.
We continued to develop our knowledge of adding two groups together and recording our answers by completing the Chinese Dragon 🐉 number sentences.
In funky fingers we made beaded dragons! 🐉 The challenge was tricky because we had to count 10 beads onto the dragon from a large basket of beads.
