Week Beginning 27th June
🌟our star of the week🌟
This week the children have enjoyed dressing up as their favourite characters again using the dressing up clothes. We have been focusing on fine motor skills this week by using the scissors and making small snips in paper, we have used beads and laces for threading into boards to focus on the children’s control, they showed good can do attitudes and lots of confidence throughout😀
We have also enjoyed baking lots of yummy cakes with Lauren🧁 the children enjoyed mixing the ingredients and watching the eggs being cracked🥚
We have also challenged the children by introducing laminated name tags and letting the children try and copy their name by tracing round the letters with whiteboard markers😀👍
As we are in the last term now we are trying to encourage the children to be more independent by putting on own coats, washing own hands, pulling own pants up and down when toileting, carrying own bags/packed lunches and walking independently without the need for reins when outside with nursery😀 the children have responded really well to this and listen to the instructions they are give like holding their partners hands, stopping at roads and having good walking feet, we are all so proud of them👏
