Week Beginning - 7th March 2022

We have had another fun week at nursery doing lots of different activities. This week we have now started to go out and explore around the environment again which the children really seem to love. We have been on environmental walks to listen for different sounds and to look for different things like cars, dogs, cats etc. We have even visited the park to help develop the children’s physical development by climbing and pulling especially up on the climbing frame, every child will experience a trip out we are trying to do this on different days😀👍

We are becoming very good at building our own towers and structures using different building recourses. We enjoy small group tasks with a member of staff who helps us take turns, we work well as a team to make towers then enjoy knocking them down. We have also enjoyed creating pictures using glue and a variety of different things to stick on including Pom Poms, pipe cleaners and tissue paper, take a look..

At nursery we really enjoy going up on the grass area as we can play and explore freely. We are encouraging the children to use their physical skills outside, we have been playing racing games to get the children running fast. They are using climbing skills to access the slide, and also doing ring games like ring a ring of roses which the children all really enjoy joining in with. The children all enjoy playing hide and seek then scaring us when they pop out of their hiding spot.

One of our messy activities this week was shredded paper in our tray, we added pictures of both the staff and children for them to find, they really enjoyed finding everyone, take a look..
