Week ending 11th May 2018

This week we want to start the week off with something that has made us extremely proud. As some of you may be aware older children in school take part in spelling challenges, Well now so do we and these are our very first lucky recipients. Well done each and every one of you, you've out the biggest smile on our faces. I wonder who will be next?
So this week we have been using Elmer as the focus for our writing. We have also been using the morals from the story in our PSE learning. Here is some more information about whats been happening this week.
We have been developing our understanding about different emotions and we have been thinking about the many different feelings discussed in the Elmer Story. Just look at this independent writing. How amazing is that? We are really proud of the way you persevered and thought about each and every sound in those words. Well done no
Thank you once again to all of those people who have completed and returned their homework challenges. We have to say a big thank you to parents as without your support we wouldn't be able to do it. So here is a big pat on the back to all of those grown ups. Thank you!
We also have been out onto the ALPS this week. We have been looking at growth, decay and changes over time using fruit and flowers.
We have also been using words to describe Elmer. Take a look at our wonderful writing. It really is coming on a treat! smiley

Next week we will be learning all about the royal wedding. We can't wait to design our cake, write our invitations and celebrate with a garden party on Friday. Don't forget that on Friday 18th May we are asking the children to come into school dressed in red, white and blue.

Have a wonderful weekend.
