Week Ending 11th November

Welcome back to RF's class blog. As usual, this week we have been very busy in school. Our text of the week has been 'Commotion in the Ocean'. We have loved this story as it has provoked lots of fantastic discussion about ocean animals.

At the start of the week we reflected on Bonfire Night and what we heard and saw. We made marks of the shapes we heard. Have a look at our amazing mark making of the BANG, POP and WHIZZ sounds!

Whilst playing outside, some of us joined in with Mrs. Evans parachute games. We used our muscles whilst moving the parachute up, down, faster and slower. We had great fun and cant wait to use it again.

Our adults in Reception have been so impressed this week with the work we have been doing independently in provision in our classroom. Have a look at some of our favourites this week...

As the week comes to an end, we have been learning about Remembrance Day. We have created a poppy wreath which we have displayed on our classroom door. See if you can spot it when you come to the gate.

REMINDER STAY AND PLAY FRIDAY 11TH NOVEMBER

We are so looking forward to our Maths stay and play on Friday. We cant wait to welcome you into our classroom to learn a little bit more about some of the ways we teach Maths in Reception.

Our text of the week next week is 'What the ladybird heard at the seaside'. Why not listen to it on YouTube over the weekend.

We hope you have a fantastic weekend.
