week ending 13th December 2019

Welcome back to our class blog. This week sees us celebrate Christmas. We have been busy making our family cards, learning more about the celebration and of course, our party.
We have been developing our motor skills by rolling, stretching and squeezing as well as looking at how we can make changes to materials by adding a liquid. Sounds complicated but we did all of these learning whilst making salt dough Christmas decorations. Amazing
We have also been busy learning about shape and pattern. Who knew there were so many different opportunities to talk about shape when learning about Christmas. Take a look at our lovely concentric circle baubles. smiley
We have had such a busy time with the nativity. We are so very proud of the children and their sensible attitudes, commitment and enthusiasm. Well done everyone
And we celebrated our party. We had such fun. We played games, danced and ate lots of delicious party food. As always, we joined in, worked together, laughed and had a good time yes

And finally. Please can we ask that you return all loan library books. We collect them in for Christmas and check them in anticipation of re-starting the library after the Christmas break. If you haven't joined the loan library and would like to do so you will have an opportunity the first week back.

Also, reading books are changed every Monday and Thursday. It is really important that you have your child's reading book in school. We are committed to reading whenever we can with the children and it provides us with an opportunity to look at comments you make in their reading records and to look at the children's developing skills. Thank you for your support.

Have a great weekend
