Week Ending 14th October

Welcome back to our class blog. As usual, we have been so busy in RF this week. Our text of the week has been 'A New Home for a Pirate' which we have thoroughly enjoyed.

We have created a class story map which allowed us to retell the story discussing the beginning, middle and end of the story. We created our own pirate ships which we then displayed. We love to see our hard work up on the walls!

We have been continuing with our RWI Phonics programme daily. We are all working so hard to practise our sounds in school and at home with our sheets we bring home each day. On the sheet is the sound we have learnt that day in class so we can practise at home. Have a look at us making our sounds outside with other materials, amazing!

We have also been continuing learning about shapes. Have a look at us independently making shapes outside on the playground...

After last weeks rainy weather, we have really made the most of being outside this week. We love playing together on the playgroundlaugh

Next week we have a focus on Autumn. We are sending home a bag for you to collect some natural autumnal objects e.g. leaves, sticks, conkers. If you can find anything please return them next week, we cant wait to see what you find!

A reminder that we have parents evening on Monday and Wednesday and you will need to book a time slot for this. If you have not done so already, please book an appointment via the Weduc app.

We hope you have a lovely weekend and happy autumn hunting!
