Week ending 15th June 2018

This week has started off really busy as usual. We are loving our sessions with Coach Chris. He is so patient and gives us really exciting and energetic things to do. Take a look at some of the skills we have been learning this week in PE.
We have been focusing on teen numbers and making sure our skills are up to speed. We have been identifying numbers and matching counters. Tricky when using big numbers but we managed it.no
We've also been doing a lot of model making this week. What a lot of wonderful creative children we have. We have used construction materials and box modelling objects to create weird and wonderful models ranging from flying dinosaurs to houses to trains. Well done everyone
We continue to focus on our reading and writing and do so every day. Each day the children gain more confidence in their ability to write without support. Some of the pieces we read are magical and we are proud of the journey the children have completed.

We finished the week of by creating world cup flags ready for the opening ceremony that we are going to have in class on Monday. World Cup fever has definitely hit us in Reception W. In the sweepstake we drew out Mexico and Nigeria so you may have noticed that our classroom is decorated in anticipation of next week. We have set the children a challenge to look for information on any of the countries involved. Have a little look together and see what you can find. Have a wonderful weekend.
