Week Ending 16th June
Hello and welcome back to another busy week in Reception. This week our text has been What The Ladybird Heard Next by Julia Donaldson. We have thoroughly enjoyed learning through this story.
To start our learning this week, we talked about rhyming. We quickly heard lots of rhyming words in our story and decided to write a list.
We then thought back to Autumn term when we read the story 'What the Ladybird Heard at the Seaside'. We re read both texts and thought about what was the same and what was different about them. We recorded our findings on a table.
On Thursday we had our Sports Day! All of the adults were SO proud of the children's, behavior and team work. We loved it when the children were cheering each other on and clapping for all the competitors. Well done Reception class!
We started our morning with some parachute games.
We had an egg and spoon race...
A sack race...
And finally a running race!
Next week, our text will be 'Superworm' by Julia Donaldson.
