This week we have been using the text The Growing Story. A lovely story about a little boy who could see animals and plants change and grow over time but until he tried on his old clothes he didn't think he had grown. This has generated so many lovely discussions this week and we have made some wonderful discoveries about how we change from a baby to an adult. Let's have a little look at this weeks wonderful work 

We started the week off with some lovely invitations to come and play and explore. The children have had some lovely conversations with each other about the knowledge they have learned and we have had some lovely ideas suggested about things they would like to do as a job when they are older. 

As we mentioned earlier we have been thinking about the skills we have and the different types of jobs we could have when we are an adult. Here are some of the children's ideas and suggestions. Amazing aren't they? 

In Maths we have been learning about time. We have been discussing the events of the day and the order we do things. We have been using and learning about language linked to time for example first, then, next and we even looked at how to create a clock and show different o'clock times. Take a little look at our new learning. 

Thank you to everyone who sent in a photograph of the children when they were a baby. We have a great time trying to guess who was who. We also used the pictures to help us with our writing and we talked about the differences between us then and now. Have a look at the pictures and see if you can guess the children. We are going to create a display in class and showcase our work 

We have also been developing and extending our learning about the names of baby animals and what the adult name is. We looked at lots of different information books this week to help extend our knowledge and we completed some jigsaws that helped us to consolidate our knowledge.
