Week Ending 17th March
What a great week we have had in Reception this week. Our text of the week has been 'The Growing Story'. In the story the little boy sees everything around him is growing but cant see he is also growing until he cant fit in his clothes anymore. We used this text to think about how much we have grown. We looked at our baby pictures and guessed who was who. Even our adults showed us photographs of them as a baby!
We wrote about what we wanted to be when we grow up. We had some fantastic discussions about our aspirations. We had police officers, ballerinas, vets and even paramedics.

In Maths we have been exploring the concept of time. We thought about our daily routines and what time of day we do things. We used pictures to represent different activities and ordered them.
In PE, we went on a bear hunt! We listened and watched the yoga teacher and copied the moves. This worked on our balance, agility and coordination.
We have been thoroughly enjoying our outside role play areas. We love the ice cream shop and hot chocolate cafe the most!
