week ending 21st July 2023

Hello and welcome back to our very last Reception class blog. What an amazing year we have had together. We have laughed, learnt  and had so many amazing experiences together smiley

For one very last time let's take a look at this week

We started off the week by having a Julia Donaldson celebration day. We explored lots of her different story books in all areas of the classroom. These are just some of the many we have revisited this week smiley

We have continued exploring independently our number bonds. This year the children have been so very excited and proud of their achievements when they are able to see the patterns in the numbers. Amazing. Keep up the good work everyone yes

We've also explored patterns in the environment. We looked at all of the different resources we had to hand in class and talked about and explored how we could make patterns with them. This is definitely something  that the children could have a go at over the summer holidays smiley

This week has been all about being together and working together to achieve a goal. Here we are in action yes

We had an amazing time at the Teddy Bears Picnic today. This was the perfect end to our time together. Here are a few pictures from today smiley

It was lovely to see you all this week and share with you the amazing progress your child has made in Reception. I hope that the reports made you as proud of them as I am. They have tried their very best in everything that we have asked of them this year and I am sure that they will continue growing in Year 1. I hope that you have an amazing summer holidays. I look forward to hearing all about your adventures when i see you in Year 1.

Stay safe and have lots of fun in the sun
