Week Ending 28th April
Welcome back to our class blog! This week our text has been one of our favourites 'Stick Man'.
This week we took a trip to the ALPS to find our very own Stick Man! Whilst we were there we had lots of other lovely learning opportunities.
We followed the path into the woods...
We looked all around us at the enviroment. We talked about what we could see and hear. On the ground we saw lots of leaves and sticks. We wondered if one of these sticks could be Stick Man!
Off we went, searching for our Stick Man...
We then sat down and had a look at our sticks to see if we thought they were the perfect stick to make our Stick Man!
We used paper and colours to complete some tree rubbings. They look amazing and we loved looking at the patterns.
We also had a mini beast hunt! We found lots of creepy crawlies.
Before we came back to school, we listened to our story of Stick Man by Julia Donaldson.
Our text next week is 'Zog', another one of our favourites!
