week ending 30th November 2018

Hello and welcome back to our class blog. This week we have been busy using the text Monkey Puzzle as the focus for our learning. We started the week off by listening to the story and creating a list of all the characters from the story. We counted 9 of them! What a busy story!
The text Monkey Puzzle is set in the jungle so we have been learning all about habitats and where animals live. We used google to find out some answers to our questions. We then set about sorting the animals into the correct habitat.
We have also been writing clues to help people guess the animal we were thinking of. Take a look at our amazing writing. We have been putting into action our RWI skills and knowledge. Can you guess the animal we are describing?
We have been lucky enough to visit Narnia this week. We have been looking at different habitats and having a story in here was perfect. It was such a cosy, fluffy and lovely experience and we can't wait to visit there again.
We have also developed our continuous provision challenges this week to match our text of the week. We had to feed the lion as many creatures as we could in 1 minute, count them all out and then have a go at writing the number down. smiley
We hope that you have a wonderful weekend. Join us again next week for our final Julia Donaldson story of The StickMan. This leads us perfectly into the festive season.
