week ending 31st March 2023

Welcome back to our class blog. The last one of the Spring term. Can you believe that the time has passed so quickly? Let's have a little peek at this weeks wonderful work in Reception W smiley

We started the week off with a lovely visit from Little Barn Farm. Natalie brought us lots of her lovely animals to learn more about. The children absolutely had an amazing time.

We even had a go at bottle feeding Rosie the calf. What a fabulous experience for the children smiley

We have accessed some lovely invitations to come and play this week in class. We have been creating words using our Read Write Inc cards - a great ideas for you to try out at home as well. We have explored 3d shapes and used different boxes to create models and so many other lovely opportunities to learn through hands on play.

So our maths work this week we have working on promoting independence alongside learning about 3d shapes. Take a look at just some of the lovely opportunities - from creating clocks and recalling our work on time to making 3d structures and working together to achieve a common goal yes

In keeping with our theme on Growth and spring we have planed and sent home sunflower seeds this week. Remember to ask the children what they need to grow - sunlight, water and food. We would love to see photographs of them when they start to produce shoots and hopefully, fingers crossed, when they are fully grown.

We also had our Easter bonnet parade in the hall. We were amazed at all of the wonderful hats that were created. Very talented. Congratulations to you all smiley

And finally, a celebration of this terms hard work. Thank you for all your support and hard work. You've been amazing.

Have a fabulous Easter holidays
