Week Ending 9th December

Hello and welcome back to our class blog!

This week we have been extremely busy practising and performing our Nativity performance. WOW what a show! Our children were amazing and so brave during both of our performances. We have loved learning the words and actions to the songs and couldn't wait to see our grown ups in the audience. A huge well done to our speakers who spent lots of time learning their words, we are so proud of you! We hope you all enjoyed coming to watch us!

We have spent lots of time this week creating beautiful crafts to bring home nearer to our Christmas holidays but sorry grown ups, no pictures just yet ITS A SUPRISE!laugh

We have been looking at arctic animals this week. We have looked at non fiction and fiction books and talked about what the difference is. We then found out that our cheeky elf Eddie had frozen some arctic animals in water and we had to help them to escape. We talked about how we could help the ice to melt. Here are some of our fantastic ideas...

Ivy H - a hairdryer would help!

David - a drill could help them to escape

Miley - when the ice melts there will be a puddle of water left

To help them to break out we used warm water, salty water and something hard to hit it with! Have a look at us, we had great fun.

Dont forget on Monday 12th we have our Reception Christmas party!

Have a great weekend!
