Week ending Friday 20th November
Hello and welcome back to our class blog. This week we have been reading the text Snail and the Whale and we have really enjoyed it.
We have done so much this week and we can't wait to show you.
We started off this week by thinking about the characters in our story. We have been making a tally of all the characters and counting which one came up the most. We loved finding a new way to represent numbers and we even chose to do this independently in provision.
We loved thinking about the beach in our story and we have been working at the creative table to create our own beach picture. This was a great activity to see how different each creation was.
We created a Snail and the Whale tuff spot so we could act out the story with our friends. This was a great activity to encourage story telling and we have really enjoyed it.
We have done so much writing this week and I am so proud how much progress we are all making. We thought it would be a good idea to write a thank you letter from the whale. We worked hard to create our sentence and we sounded out all the sounds we can hear. Take a look at this fantastic writing.
We have had another fantastic week and we are so proud of all the children. Next week we are reading the text Zog which I know will be one of our favourites.
