Week ending Friday 4th December

Hello and welcome back to our class blog. This week we have been reading the text Stickman by Julia Donaldson. We have loved this story and we love that it involves Christmas.

This week we have been working really hard to create representations of Stickman. We have used playdough, real sticks and pipe cleaners to see which was the best. It was tricky at times but we all worked together as a team to help a friend if they needed it. Take a look at some of our creations.

We have also used Stickman to think about all four seasons. We discussed the seasons as a group and then we wrote a list of the things that we associate with each season. This was a great discussion and we loved taking turns and listening to each others ideas.

We've loved talking about Christmas this week so we set up our very own winter wonderland. The children have loved playing with this and the conversations they are having with their friends are wonderful.

We have even had a visit from our own Elf. His name is Jingle and we love seeing what he has gotten up to everyday. This week he even gave himself Star of the day!

Thank you for another amazing week reception!

Have a great weekend,

Miss Jellyman
