Chinese New Year
The children have been learning all about China and the new year celebrations.
We watched videos of Dragon dancing and observed the different instruments used. We then used our own instruments to re-create the music. Using a variety of materials from the junk modelling area, we built a large Dragon to dance with.
At snack time, we tasted a variety of Chinese foods, such as, noodles, sweet and sour sauce, rice, prawn crackers and spring rolls. They tasted delicious!
Do you know?.......In China they use chopsticks to eat their food! We had a go at using the chopsticks to eat crisp.....it was very tricky.
