The children have been learning about the story of the ‘3 little pigs’. The Monday morning children visited the ALPS (Adventure Learning Progress Space) to find sticks to build a house for the pigs.

Week beginning 28th January, the children will be using different materials to make a Big, bad wolf model. If you have any packaging such as, cereal boxes, yoghurt pots, tubs, rolls etc, please donate to us! Thank you

Yipeeeeee its snowing! The children had a little play in the falling snowing. They laughed along with each other as it fell on their heads, using vocabulary such as, cold, wet, slippy, snowflake and fluffy.

If your child is turning 4 on or before the 31st August, please, please ensure you have completed and submitted your Primary school application before 15th January. Don’t forget to choose 3 schools!! Your form can either be completed by paper form from the school office or online on the wigan.gov website. This is a very important job, don’t delay and do it today!! If you need any help just ask.

CHRISTMAS PARTY TIME........with some exciting special guests.

Ho ho ho Merry Christmas everyone!

In class we made beautiful poppies and talked about the soldiers. We then went on the local bus to Wigan town centre and laid the poppies we had made at the Cenotaph.

Developing our gross motor skills outdoors!

(Remember your child needs to bring a coat with them everyday).

Christmas Nativity 2018 - how fantastic are your children? They have practiced so well and put on an amazing performance for you all to watch. The pre-school grown ups are soooooooo proud! A huge thank you to all parents/careers who contributed a costume. High five everyone.

Meet our class pets!

We are Giant Afrcian Land snails.

Our names are Shelly and Sherbet.

The children love to cut up the cucumber for the snails,

this is their favourite food.

You should have now received your letter informing you of who your child's Key person is. This will either be, Kerry, Julie, Ruth or Zeele.

The role of the Key person is:

* Your first port of call for any questions, concerns or queries you may have.

* Responsible for completing your child’s Learning Journey.

* Plan and encourage the next steps of your child’s learning.

* And a support for you!

Please let Kerry know if you have not had a letter.

We are sooooooo happy with all the

 Pre-school boys and girls.

They have settled into Pre-school life amazingly. High five!
