Friday 28th April

Hell again.

This week in English we have varied in between reading and SPAG as we continue our preparation for SATS. In particular we have studied how to choose and use text evidence when supporting our ideas and first impressions, whilst in grammar we have shown how the same word can be used both as a noun and a verb. Can you see what function PARK has in these sentences?

I can park my car perfectly.

Children play on the park.

In maths we have worked through a series of sample SATS papers to show what we can do well and what we need to cover again. The children are working really hard and they can see for themselves that they are improving all the time.

Have a look below at our story boards that tells the tale of the importance of Edward Jenner. He developed a vaccine against small pox and showed us that micro-organisms can be both helpful and harmful.

Finally, have your say.  Each week you will have a chance to decide on which new song we will learn in next week's whole school assembly.  Click on the link below to take part in an online vote.
