Friday 6th November

 Welcome back

Hope you had a lovely half term, the children came back with lots of exciting tales about all the fun things they have been doing while they were off school.

In maths this week we have been working on multiplying two digit numbers by one digit. First of all we did this by using the grid method, then we moved on to a more formal column multiplication calculation. Despite a few initial problems all the children listened really well and are becoming much more confident and independent using this strategy.

What a treat we had on Thursday morning when we went to watch the movie Home. This was a super animated, heart warming family film, with laughter and a few tears.  We used our film knowledge to write some detailed film reviews.

Well done to Dona for growing in confidence and being noticed by the swimming instructor and being moved to the next stage of swimming in the large pool.frown

Mark received the class certificate for being a super pupil at the cinema.

Have a great weekend,

from all the staff and pupils of year 4W
