This week we have been celebrating our Mummies/Nannies/Aunties/Carers.
For Mother's day the children have been talking about what their Mum does that makes them happy and the extra special reasons they love their Mum.

A group of our older children/school leavers have been participating in daily activities to enhance and strengthen their fine motor muscles. These muscles are essential in developing in their pre-writing skills. They have been participating in a range of fun activities, using their fingers and wrists to squeeze, squash, pinch, poke and tear. These activities will continue daily and after Easter, we will introduce beginning to form the letters featured in their name.
On Wednesday we were very lucky to have a physical skills session with Wigan Athletic - Kids on the move. We used our gross motor muscles to stretch, jump, run and exercise to get our muscles moving, warmed up and stronger! We played circle games, chase games and action songs.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
