Friday 7th November

Welcome back!!!!

Well, WOW! what a week we've had!!

It was good the be back after the half term -we have been busy all week.

In Maths, we have been working at the `grid method' for multiplication.  This is a really good way to multiply two numbers together.  We started the week multiplying 2 digit numbers by 1, then, by the end of the week, we were able to do 3 digit numbers by 1.  How cool are we?

On Friday we explored patterns in Maths...take a look at these photos below.

In English, we have been working on non chronological reports.  On Monday, we looked a report on Trolls.  We have worked really hard on gathering information and drafting ideas.  Today, we wrote about unicorns.  WOW, what writing -we've loved it!!

Another highlight of the week has to be making our own batteries!  Yes! Yes we used nails, copper wire and vinegar to make a battery and light a LED light.  Take a look below.

We'd also like to thank Mr Dennon for helping out in our class this week, it's been really great having him here to help us.  He says he'll be coming back soon to see us...great!
