Friday 2nd May
Good morning and welcome to the Year 5W blog for this week. A busy week for 5W this week, with a visit to Dean Trust Wigan on Monday and a visitor from HH Kids on Wednesday.
Maths - This week the children have continued their work on fractions. They have also completed their end of unit assessment test.
English - The children have planned their own ancient Greek myth in readiness to write next week.
PE at Dean Trust
On Monday children attended Dean Trust Wigan for a taster PE lesson. Children had a great time practicing their sprinting technique and racing in relays.
HH Kids
This week children were taught the dangers of alcohol. Firstly, children were tasked with sorting alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks before a demonstration showed them how a child's body can not process alcohol the same as an adults.
