Year 5 have had a special visitor for National Poetry Day., which was Thursday 2nd October with a theme of Play.
Ray Douglas, a local poet and author, led two workshops creating poetry about emotions, with the children performing them to the class. In preparation for this, we worked in groups and practiced performing to an audience, focusing on tone, volume, and fluency.
