Friday 6th March
What a busy and productive week we have had in year 5! Not only did we celebrate World Book Day, we also delved into maths with our 'Fraction Week'. Looking at improper fractions, mixed number fractions, equivalent fractions, comparing fractions, and finding the fraction of an amount. We have been on a fraction hunt in the ALPS, as well as using pizza's to compare fractions, and creating a fraction museum.
Everyone looked great for World Book Day 2026. Well done for all the effort from everyone. We shared favourite books, discussed characters, and read the class novel. We even got to write a poem for Mrs Baker that we read out as a school in assembly.
