Friday 13th March
Good morning and welcome to our blog for this week. It has been a busy week here in Year 5W.
Maths - This week the children have continued working on fractions, putting last weeks Fractions Week work into practice. Can you match the calculations to the correct answers below?
English - This week the children have been investigating past tense verbs. They have also planned and written an independent piece of writing. They used the Titanium by David Guetta video as a stimulus, and wrote their own story involving someone waking to find the world around them in devastation.
Computing - Children have explored 'Sphero minis' this week, learning how to control the devices using their chromebooks. In coming weeks, children will be learning how to code these mini spherical robots, how excting.
Our certificate winner this week is Oscar. He won for growing in confidence when speaking in front of the class during our "PEEEP" lessons.
Run in Red
We will be supporting Comic Relief on Friday 20th March and to celebrate we are
holding a ‘Run in Red Day’. The run will take place during the normal school day on
school premises. Children may come to school wearing something red or in
non-uniform
