23rd September

This week we have been learning about 'rainbows'.

At Westfield, we believe in 'H(igh expectations), O(pportunities), P(rogress), E(njoyment)'

In pre-school we use the rainbow as a sign of HOPE in our classroom.

Our rainbow means:

Have kind hands and share with friends

Have lots of chances to learn through the activities on offer

Work hard to grow our brains bigger and bigger

Have lots of fun with the grown ups and our friends

We listened to the rainbow song at carpet times and snack times.

The Rainbow Colors Song

It's a rainbow colors song. Written and performed by A.J. Jenkins. Copyright 2010 A.J.Jenkins/KidsTV123: All rights reserved. This is an ORIGINAL song written in 2010 - any copying is illegal.

We have also enjoyed outdoor play with the hula hoops (in between the rain!)

When we spoke about the shape of a rainbow, we talked about a 'curve'.

Mrs Rothwell told us that a circle has one curve that goes all the way around and never ends!  We looked for circles in the classroom.

What a fabulous week of learning!

See you all next week
