13th March

Welcome to this weeks blog. We've had a great week and been really busy!

English

This week we have completed an independent writing task to describe a Martian and tried really hard to use capital letters, full stops and finger spaces.

Maths

We have continued learning about place value, looking at how many tens and ones are in numbers up to 50. We've also looked at number lines and been estimating where we think numbers will be on a blank number line.

Science

We have continued learning about materials and their properties. This week we have sorted a variety of objects into groups of transparent (see-through) and opaque (not see-through).

Topic

We have continued our 'space' topic. This week we found out about the British astronaut, 'Tim Peake'. We found out about his childhood and that he was the first British astronaut to visit the International Space Station and the first British astronaut to walk in space.

Computing

We are loving our computing, we are learning how to do digital painting and this week we have been looking at the work of the artist Henri Matisse. We used a painting app to create our own pictures of Matisse's 'The Snail'.

Have a lovely weekend.
