Friday 5th May
Welcome back to the class blog!
In our writing lessons this week, we have been drawing our own story maps based on a character description of Little Red Riding Hood. We have been working together to practice orally retelling it using our story maps to help.
In Maths, we have been learning about mass and capacity. We have been using the words heavier and lighter to describe the mass of different objects in the balance scales.
This half term in History we are learning about Everyday Heroes. We will be looking at the emergency service vehicles from the past and the present, as well as learning about Florence Nightingale.
Next week, the children in Year 1 will undertake their Phonics Screening Assessment. Please continue to practice at home using the materials we have sent home. If you have any questions, please just ask when you drop off or pick up your child.
Have a lovely weekend!
